Individual Eligibility and Organizations

Hi, I had a question regarding the eligibility rules about this challenge. Our team is wanting to build a new teams app however we saw that a company/organization was required in order for us to be eligible. We are a team of NASA interns, however since government entities are not allowed, it does not appear to be possible to sign up with NASA being our sponsor/organization. We were wondering if we could still somehow participate in this challenge, either as an individual team or if we would need to find another company/team and what the specific rules are.     Hi Matt,

    Thanks for your interest in this hackathon! However, in short, you (and your team) would only be eligible to participate if you entered as an eligible organization as defined in the rules. Therefore, yes, you would need to be a part of an eligible organization to take part in the challenge. Additionally, please keep in mind the specificities of being an eligible organization — you’d need to have a partner center account and MPNID; the IP of the app would also belong to the organization, so any prize associated with the entry would be given to the organization where the MPNID is registered.
